Tell us a little about yourself. I am a worship leader and love the Lord. I have always wanted to be able to share the love of Jesus through creativity. This is my first published book even though I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager. I am happily married and have two beautiful daughters.
What was your motivation behind this project? This project was originally inspired by wanting to write a women's Bible Study. However, that felt too daunting. So I was led to do a children's book which shared the same concepts and principles of Jesus being right beside no matter what was happening in your life and how far you strayed from Him. It also shows how Jesus can work in our lives through difficult circumstances.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that each person who reads this book will develop a stronger and deeper relationship with Jesus. He loves us so very much and I wanted to show His love and compassion to children and adults alike through this book.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? This was an incredible 4-year journey for me and my husband to get this book published. God did the most amazing things for us, especially in 2020, the year that this book was published. He provided the funds for us to get this book published and marketed. It also helped me to see the truths which are reflected in this book come off the page in real life. It was an absolutely amazing adventure.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love the works and all of Karen Kingsbury's books. I listen to various Christian Artists such as Mercy Me and Casting Crowns and many of their songs inspired me to write this book.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This may be a children's book, but it is for children and adults alike. It can help to heal wounds from when they were children and hopefully become a treasured book that is passed on from generation to generation as the story relates in the book. The love of Jesus is timeless and I just pray that it can be a tool to bring others to know Him and His saving grace.
