Two crises in Colosse compel the Apostle Paul to write to the believers there, sharing his wisdom while in prison. First, Paul responds to false teachers who were belittling Christ, laying down rules, and boasting of secret knowledge. Then, Paul appeals to an individual believer, challenging him to imitate Christ by showing mercy to his slave who had run away. Pauls two letters exalt Christ and affirm a truly Christian life, and they remain foundational for understanding Christ and His work in us.

bobbyT5 Stars Out Of 5Well written seriesJanuary 23, 2017bobbyTQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Don't know who the authors are of the Life Change Study books are but i find them very well written. This one on Colossians included. They are written so that you can use only this and the bible if you care to without having to read commentaries unless you have the time and want to do that.

Arlene French4 Stars Out Of 5April 8, 2008Arlene FrenchI lead a ladies Bible study made up primarily of seniors. This is a bit more in depth than anything they've done before and it's taken 3 classes to teach them how to use the study.Overall it's a very good study. As a leader, I would have preferred that the margins were left blank and the optional questions put into a section in the back of the book. Also, where the actual study becomes "For the Group" is confusing to the ladies. I feel it should have been titled " For the Group Leader". But, I like it and hope that when they finish this study they will want to do others in the series.
Suzanne Clink5 Stars Out Of 5March 4, 2008Suzanne ClinkExtremely informative. I prayed for a challenge in teaching the "meat & potatoes" to my class, and I got it! This is the 1st LifeChange series I have personally taught from and have had excellent feedback so far on the contents and challenges it presents.
Jeanie Moore5 Stars Out Of 5January 3, 2008Jeanie MooreI love the Life Change Series Study Books because there is no commentary, just very meaningful questions that cause you to read & re-read the passage over and over till God shows you His meaning. The questions are excellent, making the Bible meditation very interesting, and the little bit of historical background is exactly what's needed, as well as the few word definitions included. This series does the best job of setting you up to hear from God. Thanks!
