I really like this devotional coloring book! There are 100 devotionals; you could work through them day by day or pick and choose depending on your child's needs. (Or your needs; this is a devotional that I would enjoy as an adult, also!) Each devotional includes a Bible verse, devotional content, and a coloring page. While geared to kids 6-9, I think younger and older kids could enjoy this book - especially because the coloring pages vary from simple to intricate.

The book begins with a table of contents and helpful note to parents and also includes a couple crafts and other activities at the end. It looks like a very fun and very useful devotional for families!

Coloring God's Love for Me by Janae Dueck is a wonderful and adorable devotional for young children. It features 100 different devotionals, each one featuring a Bible verse and a corresponding coloring page. My seven-year-old was excited when he saw the cover and enjoyed reading it with me. I thought the devotionals were well geared toward young children, addressing topics that would interest them or worry them. They also did a good job of giving suggestions on how to grow closer to God-either through prayer or daily living. And the color pictures are so cute! Some of the coloring pages are more advanced than others, so they cover several age groups. And some of the devotionals have a journaling prompt instead (usually still with coloring or drawing involved).

Overall, this is a great devotional for elementary-aged kids. And it would make a perfect gift, too! We are getting ready to take a road trip, and this book is going to tag along. We can have family devotional time, and the kiddo can color the pictures! Perfect!

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations for a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I don't know about you but I have been a fan of coloring since I was little and could hold my crayon. Coloring God's Love for Me: 100 Devotions to Inspire Young Hearts by Janae Dueck is a quality coloring book that combines coloring with devotionals to inspire children ages 6 to 9--but I think it is inspiring for older children and adults too.

Coloring God's Love for Me has brief devotionals written in language that early elementary children can understand and relate to. Each one starts out with a Bible verse and follows with a short reading that relates to every day life today. Along with the coloring pages, there are also a number of activity pages that include journaling, mazes, drawing and more. It is a fun book with readings that could both inspire young hearts to learn and encourage them to grow, as well as help them express a creative side while they do it.

Coloring God's Love for Me would also be a great book to use for devotions while Homeschooling. Probably crayons or colored pencils would be best as the pages are fairly thick but not sure they can stand up to markers. The pictures are a nice in that they are not the real tiny places to color but larger spaces that are easier for small hands.

Coloring God's Love for Me: 100 Devotions to Inspire Young Hearts, is part activity book and devotional that is just right for lower elementary school students in 1st-3rd grade. There are 100 "promises" for young readers (e.g. "God Calls Me By Name," "I Can Bless Others," "God Lights My Path" to name a few). Each promise contains a short Bible verse or passage, a 3-4 paragraph devotional based on the verse, and a full page coloring sheet, or activity/journal prompt. I found the devotionals to be age-appropriate, but was slightly disappointed to see the coloring pages were mostly licensed from clip art type websites, which explained the slightly disparate look with some coloring pages having a kawaii look, while others had a more intricate "adult coloring book" vibe, and then there was some word art, along with some traditional coloring book images. However, I think most kids will not care nor notice this like a former art major such as myself. The majority of the images and graphics for the coloring pages fit the theme of each devotional and I can envision many kids enjoying this book as their first devotional experience (and having fun being creative with the coloring as well).
