Tell us a little about yourself. Patrice Sweeney is a native of Rhode Island. She started her walk with Jesus on Easter 2004. She graduated from St. Luke's School in Barrington, RI., Barrington High School, St. Michael's College in 1994, and Rhode Island School of Design in 1998. Patrice has used her creative gifting and design training in various businesses since, along with entrepreneurial art-related projects ranging from graphic design, to designing and producing handbags and totes, to all-occasion note cards and coloring pages. She seeks God's plan for her life each day. Color Therapy was created from coloring pages she has drawn as she has discovered meditating on God's Word to be the most important healing tool in her life. Holding God's hand and relying on His promises in the Bible have helped her as she has gone through various trials, strengthening her faith.
She tells of her salvation story: “When I was 27, I felt an inner brokenness as well as an emptiness I was trying to fill. On Easter 2004, at 32 years old, I heard, ‘Jesus wants to have a relationship with you’ spoken from a preacher at a pulpit. I had never heard this before. That is what I needed, to ground my soul and fill me with peace and direction. I surrendered my life to Jesus; face planted at the alter. Jesus became my Lord and Savior. He came into my heart and began to change my life. I knew everything was going to be ok from that day forward. His Love never fails... It never gives up on me.” Patrice has found God’s powerful love and healing being still with Him, spending time with Him, just sitting at Jesus’ feet. As God has led her to the mission field abroad and in the U.S., she shares Jesus’ love with those she encounters each day as she relies on God’s plan and direction.
She holds onto this verse often ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I published Color Therapy in Jan 2019. It is for adults, teenagers and children. The book is made up of Bible verses I illustrated to color and draw your own. It is a tool designed to provide another way to meditate on God's Word and His promises. It can be utilized in your quiet time with the Lord. It can also be utilized in school groups, college and adult groups, churches, camps, nursing homes, retirement communities, hospitals, and more. It makes a special gift paired with some Pentel markers.
Color Therapy is a healing tool. You will find a deeper connection to God. In the quiet time of creativity and renewal, God's Word comes alive, facilitating healing in your heart, soul and mind. Reading the verses along with prayer, brings a response of clarity, as well as a feeling of renewal. There is power in the Word of God, and as we encounter each situation in life, the Holy Spirit gives renewed direction. Meditating on the Word of God has brought healing and renewal in my own mind and heart. As I've gone through various trials in my adult life, holding onto God's Promises in the Bible is how I get through them. Allow His Word to come alive, as you tap into your creativity as you color each page, and immerse yourself in each verse.
