ekt5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent and helpfulFebruary 17, 2016ektQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was a delight to read! There was a lot of humor, but the information was amazing. She gets to the root of WHY we have clutter, not just how to get rid of it.Kathi is very honest about her continued struggle and is very non-judgmental.I wasnt sure about this book when I ordered(have read many other clutter books, but they were so unrealistic for me)but I am so glad I took the chance on this book.Kathi is very down to earth, realistic and motivating.I recommend this book for anyone who wants to change, but is easily overwhelmed by their stuff!!

Review: This was an interesting take on clutter. Unlike previous books I have read this one took on the reason for collecting. I liked the approach of compare and contrasting done between the Author and her friend. This was a readable approach. While some of the ideas may be the same the reasoning behind it is fresh and made me thing through things differently. The last time I decluttered there were things that had a place and was still loved but it was discarded due to a more streamline way of thinking. I now hold a little tighter to things because I had not read this book.
I would like to thank Net Galley and Harvest House Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.

Oh, this book went so beyond a how-to book. This book, through witty stories I could very well relate to, made me really think about the decisions I make regarding what's in my house and what I bring in to it. There were plenty of chapters I finished with the thought, "How did Kathi know me so well? Has she been snooping in my house?" Obviously not. But, to me it was obvious that she'd had a lot of real experience with clutter and finding freedom from it.
Jen PenMidwest4 Stars Out Of 5Experience freedom from clutter...January 13, 2015Jen PenMidwestQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4SUMMARY:
Do you have stuff? Is it all over the place? Do you wonder how you will ever sort through it all? Kathi Lipp, along with some of her friends, have tackled those exact questions and have found some (hard) truths. Discussing the why, what and how of clutter, Clutter Free examines the process of accumulating clutter, the weight of carrying clutter and finally, the freedom of losing that clutter. Straight-forward talk and techniques help to simplify your space and take back your life.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Having had to climb out from under the pressure of clutter herself, Kathi Lipp definitely understands and appreciates the thoughts, feelings and work associated with clutter. Acting as a coach, cheerleader and friend, she gently yet firmly confronts the many issues relating to clutter. Personally, I particularly liked the advice of use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without as a general principle of decreasing clutter AND saving money. Sure to hit home with many readers, Clutter Free will certainly help with the New Years resolutions concerning clutter.

celinen4 Stars Out Of 5Not just another Clutter bookJanuary 6, 2015celinenQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Join Kathi on a journey through WHY we allow Clutter to enter our homes. Learn WHAT constitutes clutter. Then find out HOW to deal with the mess.
Do not expect the usually slew of do this, do that recommendations found in other clutter or organizing books. Kathi approaches this topic as a trusted friend who shares openly about her own struggles and of others she knows. With so many different reasons for clutter and the types of clutter that form Kathi has provide a guideline that will fit any situation. She also included many suggestions on how to begin navigating your own clutter that will leave you motivated and ready to tackle the task before you.
Having read quite a few organizing, become clutter free books in the past, I can say that Kathi's book "Clutter Free" has changed the way I look at the clutter in my home. I know why I let the clutter in and can see the reason behind the clutter others bring into my home. I have been able to let go and begun to get a handle on the clutter so it no longer rules my life.
I hope you will join me in the journey to be Clutter Free
