Product Description

In The Clue in the Papyrus Scroll, the Aldens arrive in Egypt but the agent they're supposed to meet has gone missing! With the help of a puzzle in a papyrus scroll, they figure out their next mission---to deliver a tiny ancient pharaoh statue to an archaeologist at the Pyramids! Along the way they outwit a thief who tries to steal all the treasures. Their next mission is to England, to return one of the "crown jewels of Stonehenge." But someone is following them! Could it be from the powerful Argent family, ruthless antique collectors and bitter rivals of the Silvertons?

Publisher's Description

When Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny boarded a train to help the Reddimus’s Society return a stolen treasure, they didn’t plan on traveling around the world. But after a close call with the society’s archrivals — the Argents — it’s now up to the Boxcar Children to return the remaining six artifacts to their rightful homes.

As the children travel through Egypt, Kenya, England, and Italy, can they stay one step ahead of those trying to sabotage their plans?

Author Bio

Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. Encouraged by the book's success, she went on to write eighteen more stories about the Alden children.
