I had seen this book pop up on my instagram feed a few times so when I had the opportunity to get a free copy to review I was really excited about it. The book was good and had a lot of valuable insights about leadership. I did feel like it focused more on leadership in the workplace and less with ministry leadership and personal influence which was what I was expecting. That is not necessarily a bad thing but it didn't seem to apply as much to me as I thought it would as a stay at home mom and small business owner. I also wish that the author would have used more Scripture to back up the points that she made. I think that it was a good book with lots of little nuggets of truth, but not necessarily applicable to the stage of life that I am in.

Jenni Catron says you have it, and that you can use it to change the world around you. It is the unique God-given traits within each of us that opens doors and moves mountains. The author uses Scripture and stories from her own personal experiences to point out the pitfalls or clout killers. Then she shows how to discover and unleash your own powerful clout.
I did not expect to like this book. In fact, I chose this book specifically as a challenge, daring the author to convince me that I have a voice, much less influence over anyone. I learned that we all have our sphere of influence, even if to just a few. If you are a mother, father, sister or brother, you have influence.
This book is filled with so many nuggets, that I took pages of notes. I used it as a textbook and wrote out answers in my journal to the author's specific questions. Although I finished the book, I will continue to work on my own self-perception by working through the rest of the questions as well as using the additional resources included at the end of the book.
This book exceeded my expectations. Not only does the author have incredible insight, but she knows how to write it like it is. The author confronts and challenges the issues that keep us from being who we are meant to be. I highly recommend it to any and everyone.
