LittleOwl832 Stars Out Of 5Not Worth the MoneyJuly 24, 2015LittleOwl83Quality: 3Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2Not a bad Spanish curriculum, My girls did enjoy the songs. However, I did not think that it was worth $120. It comes with two paper back work books, a CD and 2 DVDs and some cheap craft materials. You would do better to save up a little more and buy something worth the money like Rosetta Stone.
We loved it - I recommend it all the time to mothers whose children are struggling with Spanish5 Stars Out Of 5La Clase Divertida!December 16, 2014We loved it - I recommend it all the time to mothers whose children are struggling with SpanishQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I purchased this product about 5 years ago as I wanted my younger son to have a foreign language for college. I had taken 5 years of Spanish myself, and I wanted my son to ENJOY the experience and LIKE the language. I reviewed several programs before settling on this one. I wound up homeschooling because my oldest son had autism, and after 5 public school programs he was still going backwards. Then my younger son wanted to be home schooled, too, so several years later we're in high school, and I'm looking for a foreign language curriculum.
I was thrilled with this curriculum! My sons liked singing - and it was full of songs. It had games that were fun- it held their attention (which isn't the easiest thing to do!), we cooked Spanish treats, and learned the names of all the different foods. Much to my surprise, my older son (diagnosed with autism) loved the program too! He learned to count to over 100 in Spanish, learned the days of the week, the foods, some of the geography (maps) - this was a fantastic program!
Since then, I have loaned out levels 1 and 2 to friends of mine whose children are having difficulty learning Spanish. They were as thrilled with this program as I was. The one drawback- if you loan these programs out- you won't get them back! Since I loaned out the programs I had, other people have asked to borrow them, but they are helping other children now, so I direct them to CBD to buy their own! Enough said. Try it.

The first day we were all singing the songs and loving it. It does talk about how they worshiped other gods, however so does the bible. I used that opportunity to teach how God destroys complete cities who turn away from him and worship false idols. It is an easy and repetive system that gets us to learn Spanish. Our family loves it!

Great introduction to vocabulary, pronunciation, verbs, culture, writing etc. It's great for families to do together and worked well for us with only one student - the dvd was like having a classroom full of students participating with us! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to introduce a language in elementary school. My dd is now in HS Spanish doing and doing very well.
Homeschool MomAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Introduction for Homeschool FamilyFebruary 17, 2012Homeschool MomAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 4As a non-spanish speaking homeschool teacher I am very grateful for this product! I want to learn Spanish with my children. After wasting money on other videos and online resources I decided to give this a try. The program is simple to follow. Is requires little preparation by the parent. The children and I are learning and retaining the information so much better with this program.
Yes, it isn't perfect. The Mexican flag used is an old version. That is easily fixed with a quick Google search. And, the grammar may not be perfect. However, for a family who is planning to use this as a springboard into other more challenging curriculum, this is wonderful!
