Author Tina Radcliffe has written yet another story that I loved. Claiming Her Cowboy is a contemporary romance set on the Big Heart Ranch in Oklahoma. The ranch was started by siblings who'd experienced foster care themselves, and gives neglected children a chance to feel loved and part of a family. With a hero and heroine who are stubborn and strong-willed, and a precious young boy named Dub who tugs at your heart, this delightful story makes the reader look forward to the upcoming books in this series. Highly recommended and Five Stars!

Tina Radcliffe has penned another winner. If you like cowboys, or even wanna-be cowboys, you will love Claiming Her Cowboy.

Lucy works as the director of Big Heart Ranch, very appropriate with her big, generous heart for orphan children. Having been orphaned herself at a young age, Lucy's lifelong ambition is to make life better however she can for children who find themselves in the same situation. She's successful, good at what she does and loves her work, but can she see past her Plan B long enough to make Plan A work?

Jack is a big city lawyer carrying a burden since childhood too large for anyone to shoulder. He finds himself signing on as a volunteer with Big Heart Ranch at the insistence of his aunt, the wealthy benefactress of the ranch. Will time spent with the children who need love so much enable Jack to drop the shields from his own heart long enough to find the love he craves?

In Claiming Her Cowboy, Ms. Radcliffe weaves a tale that will pull at your heartstrings as you hold your breath wondering if Lucy can make her dreams for the ranch into reality, hoping the children at Big Heart Ranch find the love they need, and turning pages in search of the elusive HEA you will so want Lucy and Jack to find together. It's a book to read and reread to believe in the power of hope and proof that true love conquers all.

I received a preview copy of this book from the author before Christmas. I was not required to submit any reviews. All opinions are my own. That being said this was an awesome book. Definitely a great gift but one I would buy for myself too! This is not a holiday book as the storyline takes place over a summer. In the cold New England weather, it's good to read about a hot Oklahoma summer.

This storyline of a ranch where neglected or orphaned kids could come and live or visit for the summer grabbed my heart. I'm very glad this is the beginning of a series because I loved the main characters - ranch owner Lucy , the big city attorney turned cowboy Jack, and one of the children Dub who was a delight. I'm looking forward to subsequent books to get to know Lucy's brother and sister who help her run the ranch. I really loved these characters and how real they were. Author Tina Radcliffe did a great job creating both a setting and characters that you want to read about. I have read many of her books before but I think this may become my favorite series.

"If I was looking for a man in my life, it certainly would not be another temporary cowboy." (20)

So I'm kind of in love with Tina Radcliffe's books. Her latest, Claiming Her Cowboy, the first of the Big Heart Ranch series is funny and downright adorable. Not only, there's substance. Know what I mean? A story is as good as it can be when it give us a plot that works, characters that makes an impact, along with touching our hearts, and teaches us something along the way.

"Cowboys wear hats. It keeps your head cool, keeps the sun off your face and keeps the dirt out of your eyes. A cowboy without a hat just ain't right." (185)

Claiming Her Cowboy promises on delivering an adorable 5-year old that will just melt your heart, and a message that goes in line with the mission statement of the Big Heart Ranch.

"First Corinthians thirteen. Faith, hope and love. Faith in God, hope for tomorrow, and unconditional love." (22)

Tina Radcliffe fit a story that seems to want to jump off the pages and spread the faith, hope and love it radiates for our characters. A place like Big Heart Ranch (the idea from the Big Oak Ranch, a Christian home located in Alabama for children needing a chance, as noted in the author's dedication) is so beautiful and humbling. To read about such love and devotion, it just touches those heartstrings like it's a musical instrument, itching to share the music within. In all, Claiming Her Cowboy isn't just romance as the title suggest, but a story that holds more than the mere 221 pages can keep up with. I look forward to the next books in this series for sure!

"Falling in love with a child has nothing to do with biology. It's a choice." (166)

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.

Sigh. What a heart-warming Love Inspired book by Tina Radcliffe. Ive always enjoyed Tinas books and this one is another winner. If youve never read Tinas books, definitely try this one! Anyone who enjoys well-written contemporary romance with cowboys and lovable children would love this book.

The story has a great plot that sucks you in from the first page. Lucy, as the co-owner and manager of her ranch for orphaned children, needs her annual funding from the Brisbane Foundation to keep the ranch going. Jack, the newly appointed counselor for Brisbane Foundation, opposes the funding and creates instant drama and tension. The story unfolds as Jack spends a summer on the ranch and discovers how the ranch operates and what it really means.

Lucy is fiercely protective, loyal, loving, stubborn, and oh-so-lovable. She works hard to keep the ranch going and wants to be self-sufficient. Shes been burned by a fianc in the past and dont want to repeat the mistake. Jack is a suave, sophisticated corporate law attorney, hiding from his glitzy New York City life after being devastated by his ex-fiance. Hes determined, resourceful, but also tender-hearted and loving. These two sure butt heads and sparks fly like crazy as they battle each other in words and wit. Their banter is funny, sometimes spiteful, and overall quite enjoyable. The themes of spiritual maturity and forgiveness are woven into the plot well.

I am hoping for future books featuring Lucys single-mom sister and cattle-loving brother. They are such great secondary characters who deserve their own stories!

I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a favorable review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
