The Story of Civilization Volume 1 The Ancient World Teacher's Manual is designed to be used with the Volume 1The Ancient World Text and The Ancient World Activity Book (both not included and sold-separately). PLEASE NOTE that this book contains instructions for using the worksheets in the Activity Book, and doesn't include all the sheets in this book - if you don't have the activity book, you won't be able to do all the things listed in this teacher's manual.

This guide is designed to be used with multiple levels, and thus features exercises for a variety of grades, including questions for review (elementary and middle school grades), narration exercises (elementary-aged students), map activities (elementary & middle school), and a variety of activity projects suited to different ages and interests, including coloring pages, games/crossword puzzles, craft projects, drawing projects, snack projects, science projects, writing assignments, and drama projects (instructions for some included; worksheets are in the Activity Book). Checklists of materials required for each project are included for easy planning.
