Sergius Bulgakov (1871-1944) is widely regarded as the twentieth century's leading Orthodox theologian. His other books include Relics and Miracles, The Unfading Light, The Burning Bush, The Lamb of God, The Comforter, Jacob's Ladder, and Churchly Joy (all Eerdmans).

Boris Jakim (19492024) was renowned for his translations of Russian religious thought into English. His published translations include works by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Sergius Bulgakov, Pavel Florensky, and Vladimir Solovyov.

Sergius Bulgakov (18711944), the twentieth century's leading Orthodox theologian, left the Soviet Union in 1923 and spent the rest of his academic career as dean and professor of dogmatic theology at Saint Sergius Theological Institute in Paris. His major works include The Philosophy of Economy, The Unfading Light, The Friend of the Bridegroom, The Burning Bush, The Lamb of God, and The Comforter.
