Barth's doctrine of reconciliation is exposited in a characteristic Barthian triad of confession: Jesus Christ is very God, very Man, and God-Man. This third part volume treats the third theme in the three-fold confession, centering on Christ as the God-Man who serves as the Mediator and Guarantor of reconciliation, which is his prophetic office. Due to the size of the third part-volume, it has been divided into two halves. This first half delves into Christ's function of Mediator, who provides the answer to the sin and condemnation of humanity.
