Product Description

How do we live faithfully in a culture that perceives our light as darkness? As a captive in a pagan land, Daniel resolved to follow God faithfully while serving in a nation that hated his God. Can we do the same. Learn how to engage the culture without being spiritually destroyed by it.

The Church in Babylon Study Guide is a 10-session study with a summary of each of the ten chapters in the book (SKU: 413086), a biblical response, questions for discussion, and prayer suggestions. Each participant should have a copy of the book for a more thorough understanding of each chapter. The corresponding DVD (SKU: 413553) will enhance your study but a group study can be done without it.

Publisher's Description

How do we live faithfully in a country becoming more and more hostile to our faith in Christ?

Like the Israelites in Babylon, we must find a way to maintain our faith in the midst of a pagan culture. But that requires we answer two crucial questions:

  • How did we get here?
  • How do we prepare for the dark and difficult days ahead?

In The Church in Babylon Study Guide, Dr. Lutzer answers both of these questions. He will walk you through the many parallels between the church in America and God’s people in Babylon, and embolden you to be a gospel witness. As you work through the book, you’ll be encouraged not to compromise your faith even when under constant pressure from all corners of society. And more than all this you will have a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ, as you delve into the biblical role of those in exile.

This study guide will help you to engage the material via study questions, discussion points, and personal reflection. TheChurch in Babylon DVD is also available to help guide your group or individual study.
