AnonymousWindsor, ONAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Highly recommend, Excellent readMarch 18, 2013AnonymousWindsor, ONAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I started to read this series after being recommended to by a friend. This series is amazing. It's historical fiction about the life of King Hezekiah and his family. It's biblical history come to life. I was totally hooked and could not put these books down.
I love how the author uses scripture and brings the Old Testament to life. I truly felt like I was a part of the story. Austin connects you with the characters and their lives so easily. You feel their pain, excitement and fear.
I did read through Kings and Chronicles in the Bible to compare and Austin does a great job of telling the true and also historical story. She did her research and it shows. Impressive.
I was sad to finish the last book, I wish it would have kept on going. But it did stir a desire in me to read the Word of God and find out more for myself!! -
Carolyn Hawkins5 Stars Out Of 5Fabulous Read !!April 10, 2012Carolyn HawkinsQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5These books are fabulous as everyone else says. I learned so much. God has no grandchildren and these books show that so clearly. I bought these as e-books, but am now seriously considering buying them as printed books so that I can mark them up or lend them out!

sweetieSacramento, CAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Worth your timeJuly 7, 2016sweetieSacramento, CAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a great series - yes, it is fiction, however Lynn Austin, like Mesu Andrews does her research on the topic - ex: the autocracies of the Assyrians and Elephantine Island, Egypt. Historical fiction is my favorite because most good authors follow the history of the subject and place reasonable characters and occurrences within that history. Both Austin and Andrews do this very well causing me to turn to the actual scripture verses and easily envisioning every day people living the stories these two authors write. This is the first series I have read by Lynn Austin and I plan to read more.
