Christmas Presence Sermon Series

Max Lucado writes: When my book, 3:16, was released in Brazil in Portuguese, the Brazilian publisher chose to add a sentence to the author's bio in the back. It reads: "Max has lived in Brazil and speaks Portuguese."

Why add such a sentence? Why does it matter to the Brazilian reader? Simple. People like to know that the author has walked their land and speaks their language. This is John's proclamation. God knows our land. He speaks our language. The word has become flesh and dwelt among us.

May you sense him deeply during this holiday season. May your December be filled, not with Christmas presents, but with Christmas presence. The presence of Jesus, God's power, God's plan, God's son. God in person.
