She knows that a pony is a luxury that her mother can not afford, but she also knows that God can answer her prayers. If He can provide Smokey, then He can provide a way to afford her. Then a stranger asks to rent a room from her mom and Lucy's life will never be the same.
This was such a enjoyable book. I loved the fact that it was told from Lucy's point of view so that a lot of the "grown up" stuff was alluded to but as an 8 year old, not paid much attention to. The story is somewhat predicable but that did not make any difference to me. I found that I wanted, no I needed to know how exactly things turn out.
Great read, especially for the holiday season.

It fills you with the Christmas Spirit and the wonder of a sweet, clean generation. I love a good romance that is clean, sweet and wholesome and Melody really knows how to write them. Most romantic parts of a book today are so Bold and unchristian ( even from some Christian writers) but this one is filled with good Christian morals. This one would make a beautiful family film that the whole family could enjoy.
