Tell us a little about yourself. Kevin and Anne MacMillan have gratefully spent three decades in full-time local church ministry serving in creative arts, teaching, preaching and pastoral care. They have written children's books including Christmas at Mole Run and The Matzo Trilogy, as well as several stage productions and musicals which have been produced at their church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. They have two married adult children and six wonderful grandchildren.
What was your motivation behind this project? To help children learn the true meaning of Christmas in a fun and engaging way, and also to give an opportunity for their parents to take regular time to read to their kids.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? We pray that parents and children will grow in their relationships with one another and with the Lord.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? We wrote this (and our other Advent stories) originally for our grandchildren, and so there is great personal meaning for us. It has truly helped us connect more with them.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? We (like so many others) love the Narnia series as well as other classic children's books like Wind in the Willows and Charlotte's Web.
