Debbie WilderSalinas, CAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Another incredible romantic suspense novel!January 4, 2017Debbie WilderSalinas, CAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is a stand-alone suspense story. The characters lives are moving right along though and if you read the series in order a number of the references to personal lives will make a lot more sense.
The characters in the book are as well developed as I expected them to be. I love the details that Susan Sleeman puts into each one of them and the way she brings characters from previous books into each additional story within a series.
I loved finding out so much about what makes the team leader, Jake Marsh, tick. He has a lot of personal heartache that has helped to shape him. I wanted so badly for him to work through his history and be able to move on with his life.
Rachael has a huge hole in her life that she is working hard to fill with her day-care-center. As I read the details of her pain and loss my heart broke for her. Now she needs to try and determine if that is how she is to fill it for the rest of her life.
I thoroughly enjoyed Rachaels belief in God. It was wonderful to find out how she has trusted Him to help her through past trials.

proudmom5085 Stars Out Of 5Great story, great series, hard to put down!December 7, 2016proudmom508Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Christmas Conspiracy is the last in the First Responders series and the story of its commander, Jake. Although it's part of a series, it can be read alone. I enjoyed all the books in this series and getting to know all the members of the First Responders Unit. In Christmas Conspiracy, Jake and day-care owner Rachel must protect baby Kelly from a kidnapper. The story was well-paced and hard to put down. I enjoyed figuring out who the kidnapper was and why. It was a great story and wonderful finish to a great series!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. The review is my honest opinion.
Michelle K5 Stars Out Of 5Well-written, Packed with Mystery and SuspenseDecember 6, 2016Michelle KQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5While I've been waiting since the beginning of this series to learn Jake's story, I'm sad to see the First Responders come to an end. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the team. I love the camaraderie they have. Each story has been so well-written, packed with mystery and suspense. Christmas Conspiracy was a great conclusion to the series.
Plot: When there's an intruder at Rachael Long's day care, she'll do anything to protect the baby that's currently in her care. The First Responders show up and team leader Jake Marsh is able to rescue Rachael and baby Kelly. While Rachael saw the attacker, she was drugged at the time and is unable to remember, but the attacker doesn't know she can't identify him. When Jake realizes Rachael's still in danger, he takes on the job of keeping her, Kelly, and Kelly's mother safe.
Characters: Rachael and Jake were both wounded. She lost her husband and unborn child and is reluctant to risk her heart again. Jake is still dealing with the guilt from an accident in his childhood, which makes him determined to be a protector. I loved how the author introduced several characters that all looked suspicious. It kept me guessing until the end.
Recommendation: I'd highly recommend this book, and the entire series, to anyone who enjoys a great inspirational suspense story. Sleeman always has great details to the investigation in her stories. I always enjoy how accurate they feel. While Christmas Conspiracy is the last book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Julie GravesOklahomaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5christmas conspiracyDecember 1, 2016Julie GravesOklahomaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0First Response Commander Jake Marsh is on the scene to help childcare owner Rachael Long when a masked man breaks into the daycare and tries to kidnap one of Rachael's children. Determined to keep the man from taking the child and also determined to identify the man, Rachael rips off his mask! Now Rachael is in danger and Jake is determined to do all he can to keep her safe.
Both Rachael and Jake have lost people in their lives that have left them feeling guilty and unworthy to be loved again. Both have thrown their energy into their work. Now that Jake is protecting Rachael they both feel the attraction that they instantly have for one another, but neither one is ready to open their heart to love.
Christmas Conspiracy is the last book in the First Responders series and it definitely kept this reader on the edge of my seat! Christmas Conspiracy starts off with heart-pounding action and that action continues throughout the whole story. I love Jake's character. He is protective and tender with Rachael and willing to give up his life in order to keep her safe. We are able to catch up with the rest of the team and see how the other relationships have developed. Although I am sad that the series is over I have enjoyed each of the team members stories. If you are a romantic suspense fan like I am then don't miss out on this fantastic series!
