Another great book by Melody Carlson. I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas story! Although much of the story focused on Mrs. Claus, I like how the true story of Christmas was also included. A very down to earth easy to read book.

If you are looking for a great book to read over the holidays, I truly recommend Christmas at Harrington's. This is a traditional feel good christmas story, with a unconventional heroine.

Lena, a former pastors wife, has just been released from jail for a crime she didn't commit and as she finds her life will never be the same. Not welcome in her former church or town, Lena takes a room at a halfway house and a temporary job and Mrs. Clause at a local department store. Lena must learn to navigate her new world and along the way God puts people in her life she never thought she would never would have thought she would associated with, a job she never would have considered and a faith she has never known.

This a quick read, I read it in a single afternoon, but I love this book because it is such a faith based and uplifting book. Although I read a lot I very rarely buy a fiction book for my personal collection, however I made an execption for this book. I think this will be a book that I pull out of my kindle cloud and re-read every Christmas Season.

The author takes you right inside Harrington's, a small town Department store. The challenges faced by each character are believable, yet not really predictable. An enjoyable read.
