Tell us a little about yourself. I am the executive director of Christians in Recovery and have worked in the recovery field for over 20 years.
What was your motivation behind this project? There is a lack of good, solid Bible based recovery material available. I wanted to fill the gap and give people something they can really dig into in order to find healing in their lives.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? People do not have just one thing in their lives to overcome. The alcoholic is very often codependent or suffering from depression. The person who is abused can have issues with anger and anxiety. Recovery is very complex. This book gives the reader a holistic and Biblical approach to overcoming their addictions, dysfunctional living as well as the hardships of life.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I grew personally as I wrote the book and studied Scripture. It gave me a far deeper appreciation of the Bible and how it can help anyone today.
