I was struggling to find suitable resources for my Sunday school class (ages 9-12), when I came across this. I'd heard about the Cold-Case Christianity book before but wasn't aware that a version for kids was also available. Let me tell you, my class loves it! And so do I! We enjoy digging into a new chapter every week and the worksheets available on the website are very helpful as well. Would definately recommend!

You might be surprised at how young children are when they begin questioning, struggling and wondering about biblical truths. My oldest son isn't even ten years old and we have already had deep, meaningful conversations about biblical topics that I never even thought about until college. Maybe the reason so many children leave the faith once they finish High School is because so many questions were left unanswered as children and they end up finding what they are looking for in secular, humanistic views. Rather than dismissing my child's genuine questions about the Bible and it's truths, I face them head on. I don't fear his questions because they have led to powerful soul-searching and change already in his young life. This book is an excellent resource for kidsbecause it shows them that it is okay to have questions and that the tools are readily available in the Bible, you just need to search for them.

I find the forensic approach that this book takes intriguing for young tweens and teens. The images in the book are simple and hand drawn which took a bit to get used to at first but once you get into the book, you are so enthralled with trying to figure out the case, it doesn't seem to matter much. The book follows a group of students trying to figure out a case concerning a skateboard. Throughout the case the students are exposed to the process of detective work. This is then related to the need to investigate the Bible to search for the truths that we need to live our lives. I appreciate the way this book presents the Bible and the need to dive in and search it. We are to study to show ourselves approved and today too many people rely on what they have been told and have not searched out the scripture for themselves. This is an excellent book for any tween or teen!

What a great resource! I highly recommend it. You can print activity sheets and teacher guides, create a detective notebook for the kids to fill out. It is fun, engaging, and incredibly useful! I think kids will learn a lot about how to defend their faith and how to think critically.

Cold-Case Christianity for Kids is an engrossing read that shows kids steps for being a good detective. There are two cases that are worked out: one is a fictional case about a mysterious skateboard and the second is the case that has to do with Jesus and if he was real. There was some scripture, but the author/detective backed up the existence of Jesus with historical fact while giving assignments and tips throughout the chapters. At the end of each chapter you received a tool for your detective bag.

My 11 year old son read this book and enjoyed it very much. He especially liked the funny illustrations, he liked the engaging way the author made the detective work relevant to him, and the scripture verses the author used. My son read this book quickly and when he discovered something new he shared his revelations with me.

I think this book is an engaging tool to get kids thinking about the truths of Christ and His existence here on earth. I recommend this book for homeschoolers, youth ministries, or just leisure reading. There is also a free Cadet Academy available online.

I received a copy of this book for free. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

This is a fascinating book for any kids in your life. The way it takes scripture and a story and makes kids want to know more about Christ and how to know him really impressed me. I think my kids will like this as well. I was very impressed by the writing and all of the ways this points to Christ and the scriptures. I really like how it makes kids think about Christ and their salvation and also helps them to know what they believe and why. I am very much looking forward to finishing this book with my kids and digging deeper into their faith as well as mine. I enjoyed the cover of the book as well as the pictures and other graphics in the book. I am so impressed with this book and I will now be purchasing the adult version to read as well. I received this book from Litfuse publicity book for free. A positive review was not required.
