MK ZambranaPhiladelphia3 Stars Out Of 5Like the sanitary aspect, yet difficult to open and grape drink inferiorMarch 6, 2020MK ZambranaPhiladelphiaQuality: 2Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2I purchased these pre-filled cups/wafers because one of our members has a low immune system due to medical treatment and did not want to touch the bread someone cut up and cups someone filled. The purpose was met, in that that brother felt free to take one of these from the tray. Yay! Also, the cups were made in a triangle, so even elderly people could hold them.
Minus points: In general, disposable cups go into landfill. Specifically, this brand was flimsy. In more than half, it was hard to get the film off the wafer. The lower seal, the one on the cup, started coming off, but did not fully peel, so people were getting the juice over themselves. The juice was disappointing, in that it seemed to be sweetened grape drink. Can that be? I am used to filling the cups with Welch's 100 percent grape juice, so the taste was strikingly different. Perhaps this is a bargain brand, and other brands are easier to open and of higher quality. Then again, there would be more to put in the landfill with sturdier cups and seals. Not like a love feast at all, but I can see the attraction for large congregations.
