This book in one chapter says that one of the causes for genital herpes is oral sex yet in another chapter it says that since there are no direct scriptures forbidding oral sex that it is okay for Christian to engage in oral sex. Sin causes hurt and pain and anything that can cause a painful and incurable STD does not contribute to a healthy sex life. Also, the role playing issue raised says that it's okay to role play if you remain yourself and stay in gender yet the two examples given for sexual role play are a nurse giving the man a sponge bath or a woman getting rescued by a fisherman. Both of these scenarios imply having sex first encounter with a stranger which is not scriptural so it should not be role played. I threw this book out. I would give it no stars but when I did my review didn't register so I will give it 1/2 star because there is other information in there that is useful but that you can find in most health books.

Drs Farhart and King cover the unique aspects of all womens health with expertise, thoroughness, and in a non-judgmental and educating way. Christian women are faced with challenges when it comes to their general health and more specifically their sexuality. This book sets out to candidly, and from a biblical viewpoint, answer those niggling questions a woman might not want to ask her pastor or spiritual counselor, for fear of being thought less of. This is not a dry tome filled with do's and don'ts, but an in-depth look at issues that face the modern Christian woman. It is written with sensitivity and contains just the right amount of humor to bring a smile to a readers face. Questions such as, is God interested in my sex life, and what the Bible says about sex are frankly discussed in detail. The answers might surprise some women who have been raised to believe that sex is the forbidden fruit. This up-to-date book tackles medical myths and looks at modern medicines, giving a balanced perspective on such topics as Hormone Replacement Therapy, birth control methods and vaccines, among other things. The authors give practical tips on how to handle various health issues, and provide website addresses to learn more about a specific topic, if necessary. This is helpful as reading the book may trigger questions that are not the books main focus.Best of all the authors use the Bible as their plumb line, nothing in this book is contrary to scripture, and is therefore a great read for any Christian woman who really wants to stay in the will of God while dealing with modern-day topics and issues.I recommend you buy a copy for yourself, and then for any girl or woman in your life we can all benefit from the information contained in its pages.
