wayne3 Stars Out Of 5Great auther, Lousy publisherDecember 18, 2012wayneQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 3I bought this book based on information given by a friend. The book is written well and the message is clear and good. I recommend it as very good reading and an eye opener. However the book was evidently put together with very inferior glue as chapter one fell out before I even got through it and I was forced to tape it back together. When I buy a book I expect it to last especially one such as this that I would probably read over and over. Bill Hull did a great job, Baker Books........Not so much!
Kevin Repasky - Director of Men's Ministry5 Stars Out Of 5December 3, 2007Kevin Repasky - Director of Men's MinistryThis book is worth not only reading but is necessary to implement throughout your entire church. I have challenged our leadership team to embrace the concepts of this book and to totally change our thinking. Many people claim to follow Jesus. Many people claim to be His disciples and many are. However, less and less churches in America take the time to educate new believers to the point where they experience a life changing transformation through the Word of God. Most disturbing are the Christians that consider themselves disciples but do not understand how to multiply themselves through discipleship. Bill Hull stresses his concern that we have accepted a non-discipleship Christianity that leads to plenty of motion, activity and conferences but no lasting transformation. Jesus has commanded us to make disciples of all the nations teaching them to observe all things that He has commanded and yet we have become content with emotion and experience without learning, loving and living Gods Holy Word.It is imperative that we fulfill the Great Commission and help people move toward spiritual maturity one disciple at a time. Thank you Bill Hull for taking the narrow road and challenging us to think, live, love, minister and lead as Jesus did.(also recommend, "Jesus Christ Disciplemaker" and "The Disciple Making Pastor")
Rob5 Stars Out Of 5January 31, 2007RobBefore reading Choose the Life, I knew there was something terribly wrong with the way we were doing church. I just couldn't put my thumb on the exact issue. I had some pretty good ideas, but couldn't express what was missing the way Bill Hull does in this incredibly insightful book. He helped me see clearly what was missing in my own walk and this gave me the drive to connect with others and share these principles so that we can all walk in the true likeness of our savior.
