4 Stars Out Of 5

I enjoyed this CD and there were some laugh out loud moments. In typical Chonda fashion, there are touching tales about her life also. For me, there was more of those moments on the CD than what I was expecting. Overall, it was a great purchase and Chonda never fails to deliver!
This is evidently the first CD Chonda put out after her bout with depression. She at times seems bitter to me in this, compared to some of her earlier works, but understandably so. She has been through a lot, and it seems as if she is still processing a lot of it. In some ways, that is part of the beauty of this CD. Here is a human, working out what it means to live in a fallen world, as a sinner herself, struggling to walk the talk better and better.
I love her use of the typically-Southern term "In't that Precious!" and get a bit sick of her usage of "It's so funny!" but then, my background is Communication Arts, so I tend to pick things apart. That said, I have listened to this several times, and will listen to it again for sure. Uplifting, and encouraging, with some worthwhile things to think about in terms of what the church should be like in supporting its members.
