Josh Miller's kid sister, Chloe, is not your average teen. To some, she's a frustrated rebel; to others, a free-spirited freak. Chloe has questions and doubts that take you places most people never think to go...like the local cemetery. After a personal encounter with God--on His terms, at last--she surrenders her will and her heart to Him, then sets out on a spiritual mission.

Series: Diary of a Teenage Girl
Carlson has made a name for herself as a CBA novelist who actually understands teenagers; her fifth book in the Diary of a Teenage Girl series demonstrates the strong writing and soap-operatic plot elements that have made the first four novels so successful among young readers. Fans of the series may be initially distressed that Carlson abandons the adventures of Caitlin, the series' erstwhile heroine, in favor of the younger recurring character Chloe, the rebel kid sister of Caitlin's on-again, off-again boyfriend Josh. (Perhaps Caitlin, who has been dispatched to college, has grown too old for the series' core audience?) Just as Caitlin dealt with real problems such as eating disorders and dating woes, Chloe battles with a number of serious issues in this journal-cum-novel: finding Jesus, helping a friend who's messing with witchcraft, and defending herself against female bullies. Readers who agree with Chloe that Caitlin was "the perennial Pollyanna of the new millennium" will delight in this edgier, more intense, electric guitar-playing lead character. (Jan.) Jean5 Stars Out Of 5November 20, 2008JeanIt's truly amazing how we relate to each of these girls. The only bad part about them is when they end. And each time I read [and reread] these books I find a little bit more of myself in each girl. Kim's first book was the first one i read and since then I've been dying for the rest of them. I hope Carlson never stops writing!
Abbey5 Stars Out Of 5June 9, 2008AbbeyThis book basically brought me (back?) to God. The first time I tried to read it I stopped when she came to God because I didn't believe, but since then I've read all the books, from Caitlin #1 to Kim #4 and can't wait for Maya's to come out.
Kia Rae5 Stars Out Of 5February 22, 2008Kia RaeI loved this book because i was able to say "Hey, i can relate to that" i also loved how the author was down to earth when she wrote this book because other books I've read seem so unrealistic. I would recommend this book to any girl who needs a good book.
