J. Dunn5 Stars Out Of 5August 1, 2009J. DunnThis book is a very well written account of US History. It is informative and interesting and, best of all, holds my children's attention. The study questions at the end of each chapter are very handy. I've used it for two of my children and am in despair because I can't locate my copy for my third child. Luckily, I found it here.
Jos1 Stars Out Of 5May 23, 2009JosI had such great expectations for this book for my daughter. After reading through it I have to say this book is an absolute joke! As a Christian and a citizen of this great country I am appalled that this would be touted as an American History book. This is an extremely biased opinion of our history. There is a big difference between Christian values and political agenda. Unfortunately this book leans entirely toward political agenda. I do not see this book as a reflection of our Christian values but merely an extreme right wing rant. I expect a history book to report history and allow the reader to build his/her own opinion. This is propaganda disguised as history book.
Rachel Mcconnell5 Stars Out Of 5November 15, 2007Rachel McconnellMy 9 year-old daughter has always said she doesn't like History. This book is causing her to change her opinion somewhat. I can tell she is interested even though she won't admit it, because she is even asking questions as we go. I like how it includes quotes and excerpts of things people actually said regarding God, etc.
