Tara4 Stars Out Of 5Happy with what I ended up withAugust 13, 2015TaraQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I needed a few more $'s to use the free shipping code I had, and after perusing a lot of specific items, I ran across this and gave it a shot. I was hoping to get some infant/toddler items for my one-year-old daughter and, perhaps it was chosen because the other items in my order were cloth books, but I got a lot of books and CD's that were perfect for her. I only got like 2 books that are for pre-teens/teens that I can give to some of the kids at our church, and 8 things that I can use now with her. I was so glad it was stuff relevant to her and not stuff I'd be unable to use or have to stow away for now. I do think that there should be some more specific options or age ranges that you could choose for this because children from birth through teens is kind of a big range for this. But overall for $9.99 I received about $32 (current sale prices) of stuff that she will use! :) Being able to choose an age range I would definitely order again, but without it I may only order it when ordering other items for her age in case that is what signaled what I was looking for this time.
TracyCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5very pleased!February 5, 2015TracyCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4i am very pleased with the mystery box i ordered this time! i needed a cheaper way to restock our childrens library while revamping our little nursery at church, and nearly every book in the mystery box is perfect for it! (the one exception being a curriculum book, which we will use for our childrens church anyway!)
i was especially pleased to see that there were so many board books in this pack, well worth the $10 this pack costed!!!!
i will definitely be buying this again!!!
AmberK4 Stars Out Of 5I think it's worth the money and works great for my kidsDecember 21, 2014AmberKI was surprised to see so many negative reviews of this, I found the surprise pack to be totally worth the $10 and filled with things my children will love. So much so that I had to purchase a second and hoping many of the same things are in it b/c I will need doubles of some things.
Rebeca Gross1 Stars Out Of 5I do not recommend The Children's Surprise Pack! :( :(December 8, 2014Rebeca GrossQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1This is my first time ordering the Children's surprise pack.......but then I found out it was a surprise was for me!
I could have bought all of the items for less then $10 and there only were things for toddlers.
My daughter was very sad when she saw only 1 thing she could use.
Sorry, I love positive comments, but I here I cannot give positive comments......

Faith2 Stars Out Of 5Very Disappointed. Waste of money & now I have to spend more to replace the gifts I hoped to get.November 19, 2014FaithQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1I have ordered from Christianbook.com for many years. I have always loved getting this surprise package. I've used the stuff in it for Christmas stocking stuffers & gifts for all my nieces & nephews. I usually order 2 of this packages each year & almost always have stuff left over for future gifts.
Last year I was very disappointed with what we got. Even my kids noticed the poor choice of items in the box. The items we were given were things I recognized from the Bargain section here.
Yet I decided to take another chance this year but I ordered only one instead of my usual two. Sadly like others have said it is disappointing. My items were shipped today but looking at my order I can tell what I'm getting. The value of the items is about less than $8 or so. The selection is pretty bad. I don't see anything at all that I'd like to give as a gift or use for stocking stuffers. I've already made plans to donate most of the stuff to our church to use as prizes for Sunday School or Awanas.
I will not be ordering any more of these surprise boxes. I now have to spend a lot of time figuring out what to get each one of my nieces & nephews. Plus I'm already out $10 of our budget. I know I'll have to spend way more than that. It's not I don't mind spending the extra money it's just we don't have it. (sigh)
I'm also aware the point of the surprise package is to get a surprise. It's just it is no where like it use to be.
