I've done several of Beth's studies and this one did not disappoint! As always, her teaching is grounded in the scriptures and her authenticity and love for Jesus shines through it all. Her memorization of entire books of the Bible has convicted me to start some memorizing as well..

I was increasingly challenged as we journeyed thru Thesselonians 1&2, from Paul's incredible love for these people, to our Christian walk, to Christ's return. So much to learn - and I'm no newby! I will definitely do it again sometime. I especially loved her written prayer for revival in the middle of the member book - I couldn't have expressed my own heart any better and I still pray it often. So, if you want to be stretched and challenged in your faith and knowledge of God, and grow in your prayer life, then I highly recommend this study!

This is my 7th Moore study and my last... I learned nothing new, and am embarrassed for Beth... so much was all about her... which she seems to delight in telling all. The metaphors were awful - she must have a team that thinks them up...I can just see her saying, "Quick, give me a metaphor for something hard" and she gets "as hard as trying to wrap a TV with six inches of Christmas wrapping paper!" That's the kind of tripe this study was full of. It was disjointed and seemed that the first part of the book, which was full of the inappropriate metaphors, was different from the last three chapters, which was basically "A day in the life of Beth Moore." Her celebrity has led her to believe that we are reading her studies to learn more about her than about the Word. By the end of this study, I wanted to warn everyone not to waste their time. If you must do a Moore study, do Daniel, James, even her story on Breaking Free. I would encourage all mature Christians... who have background and training, to not waste their time... For newbies, they will probably be entertained, and not realize that they should be getting meat. There were even questions that none in our group could figure what she was asking. One blank to fill that did not make any sense. It was totally obvious that she was stretching the study... asking questions rather than teaching... I hope she stops preparing studies, as this one was a rip-off. She tells us nothing new, a recap of things she told in earlier studies... it was insulting to "jump through the hoops" to answer questions that were not helpful. You did your readers a disservice, Beth. Then videos... they were too long... with little that we hadn't heard before... having us parrot back Greek words, like it was actually teaching us something. Why she thinks she must perform for a full hour is odd... it is obvious she is stretching it, and it mostly is about Beth and what she thinks... trying so hard to assure you that she has discovered something.... I had heard what she was teaching from a simple Bible study teacher 40 years ago... Nothing new in this study unless you are new to the Bible.

Just finished this wonderful study and learned so much from God working through Beth! She has such a love for God, His Word, and His people, and it shows throughout the videos and the member book. I haven't spent this much time studying in I don't know how long. Beth's personal examples and anecdotes, her knowledge of biblical Greek, her enthusiasm, her love, all work together to create a recipe that is healthy to the spirit and satisfying to the soul. Unfortunately, there is one flaw...it ended!

Just finished this study with our ladies life group and would highly recommend it. Her teaching comes out of serious study of the Word and her own journey with God. She is humble, genuine and accountable...I like that she always encourages women to study for themselves! If you don't agree with something a teacher is saying, go to them in love and talk to them about it! Please don't use social media or a review section on a Christian book sight to vent your frustration...it's not a biblical approach for what to do when you have a problem with one of our brothers or sisters in Christ.

I expected a deep study of the bible, the only thing I've acquired is a deep study of Beth Moores' troubled life. I watch a handful of preachers regularly because they all give me a viewpoint of the scriptures from a different angle and putting them together I gain understanding. So when this bible study came up at church I was ready to jump in and explore the scriptures with the ladies. Half the group dropped out after a couple weeks, the group discussion section resulted in dead silence, the point of the videos just seems to be to fill in the blanks and in the last week of the "study" I can't recall learning anything from the seven weeks so far or what the chapters were about.

The workbook is all about Beths' struggles with no solutions mentioned and an occasional scripture reference then more about Beth. It reminds me of people at work who talk about themselves all day and tell everyone their problems whether they know you or not. If there is a word for her style of writing I don't know what it is but imagine a high schooler looking up every word in a thesaurus just to sound smart and metaphors that are so out of place when referring to God's word that they border insulting. I personally could only read two pages at a time because instead of a feeling of joy or happiness her writing gave me a feeling of anger and bile rising up with a bad taste in my mouth. It may be that her following is based more on women looking for a strong female leader who appears to have it all together.

My end result is just read Gods word!
