Tell us a little about yourself. James John Suminski is the author of the suspenseful new Christian fiction novel, The Hoax. James is a former teacher, wrestling coach, general contractor and is currently an insurance adjuster and travel advisor. Since becoming a Christian at the age of 18, he has been active in various ministries including children's church, youth programs, leading worship, evangelism/outreach as well as teaching adult Bible studies. James had the honor to participate in missions trips to the Hopi Indian Reservation in Arizona to help remodel a missionary's home, minister to prisoners and assist a Christian school in Acapulco, Mexico, and a trip to Kenya, Africa to plant a new church. James has a passion for reaching the lost for Christ and this exciting new novel contains his vision for the church today. His hope is The Hoax will impact lives for eternity. In his spare time, he enjoys writing, golfing, oil painting, fishing and traveling the world with his wonderful wife, Vickie, of over 38 years. He has two awesome children, a fantastic son in-law and one amazing grandson.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to inspire Christians to walk in the full power of the all that Christ has provided to every believer. I also wanted to address many of the questions non-believers bring up when Christians share the gospel with them.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope Christians are inspired to walk in the same power the early church walked in as written in the Book of Acts. I also hope that non-believers are impacted and accept the salvation that Christ has provided for them.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love our Church, New Creation Church of Glenwood Springs. My Pastor, Mark Bintlif, is amazing and much of this book was inspired by his ministry.
