Tell us a little about yourself. I am a professional storyteller in the Delmarva area. My husband, Tim, is a minister, and we are parents to some pretty wonderful children. My husband attempted to prevent me from being a "crazy cat lady," but I'm afraid with our two new additions of kittens, he is failing in that endeavor. We also have a dog named "Max," who is putting up with the new additions quite well.
What was your motivation behind this project? I have always loved reading "Chicken Soup for the Soul." I have also loved writing for as long as I can remember. I wanted to honor my brother, and telling a true story of something that he did one Christmas seemed to be a perfect way to do so.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? No matter what is happening in this world, I hope that people may find joy -- the true joy of Christmas.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I am utterly honored that my work was considered, and chosen.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love to read all genres, and I have been inspired by many authors. To ask me to choose a favorite author would be to ask me to name my favorite child!
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I am but one writer to be featured in this book. This is my first story featured in "Chicken Soup for the Soul." I hope to share other stories in future tomes. Not only do I invite you to read my story on page 41, but I also urge you to read the many other stories that will touch your heart.
