By using many of the techniques described in her earlier book Lighten-Up, Magee brings home some of the magic of dining out. With just a few minor ingredient adjustments, these fabulous recipes from some of the best-known kitchens in the country can be transformed into healthy, lowfat dishes. Totally decadent desserts still taste decadent after they've been changed, and while they might not be called lowfat, they have at most half the calories. Regardless of how much she alters these recipes, taste still comes first. Magee prides herself on reducing the fat in recipes as much as she can without compromising flavor or texture.
