Chasing Vines needs to be at the very top of your reading list for 2020. I absolutely loved this book. Sprawling with imagery, personal reflection, and scripture, Beth Moore beautifully weaves tendrils of truth and wisdom to captivate the reader with a fresh desire to abide like never before. Chasing Vines edifies the body of believers, brings refreshment to the curious, and beckons all to experience an immensely fruitful life through abiding in the One True Vine. This book is perfect for your next book club or group study. Be sure to have a pen or highlighter handy, because I highlighted something on every single page.

Chasing Vines is an immensely rich book that makes you thirsty to read each page and be filled up by Beth Moore's beautiful perspective of John 15. She does a thorough study of the vineyard which grows bountiful grapes and paints a picture for us, describing in ways to bring us to Jesus, our Vinedresser. The book reminds us of who we are in Christ, of what He desires for each of us as we abide in Him, and how our exact placements are meant to help us grow for His harvest!

My One Word for 2019 was dwell which is surely synonymous with abide. Every page in this book found me praising God that He invites me to dwell/abide with Him, that at times, I may be on rocky soil, but it is this placement that prepares me for all I am to be and become. When I am in a pruning process, He is holding me. Beth assures me with her scriptural truths that no matter what season I am in, that God is revealing aspects of His glory. This book found its way to my heart after a tremendously intense season of pain and as I read, it lifted my soul as I could see how the rocks and pruning have brought fruit in my life. It also greatly encouraged me for how to view the smaller pebbles that surround me now & for the boulders that will surely return, for the small branches that are being removed now & for the large limbs that will surely need to come off later.

I am grateful for Beth Moore, for Chasing Vines, for her passion and love, for the ways she has written this book to draw me to deeper intimacy with The Lord. I literally have highlighted almost every sentence in this book and know I will return to it again & again - to study with my women's group and for future diving in to constantly nourish my soul.

Chasing Vines holds valuable words, truth, and good words to stir us to contemplation and center us in abiding in Jesus, our One True Vine.

Chasing Vines was a beautifully crafted exposition on God and fruitfulness in our faith. Beth Moore has a unique way of writing that makes you feel like you are sitting at her kitchen counter with a hot beverage. As you read, it feels like she is speaking directly to YOU. She delivers hard truths through words dripping with compassion and most importantly, HOPE because of our great God. I would highly recommend Chasing Vines to anyone.

Beth knocks it out of the ballpark, er vineyard, with this book. She paints the most beautiful pictures of Italian vineyards, dives deep into Scripture, and details the many reasons why Jesus used the vine to illustrate what our relationship with Him should look like. She doesn't sugar coat it either. She walks with her reader through the muck and the mire, to encourage us to know that nothing is wasted with God. Even the grub worms and dung have a purpose in the kingdom of God. This book came at the very best time, and I know I will revisit the hills of her Italian vineyards every time I need to be reminded of this truth.
