    We were made to flourish

Beth Moore is a gifted teacher of the Bible and spiritual mentor to many. In her new book, Chasing Vines: Finding Your Way to an Immensely Fruitful Life, Ms. Moore takes the reader deeper into her own spiritual journey by walking us through the process of growing a grapevine. The in-depth background knowledge provides a greater awareness of the rich, detail-oriented path our own spiritual journeys take as we seek to know God on a deeper level.

Throughout the book, Chasing Vines, Beth Moore points the reader to the idea that we were chosen to flourish. Our lives were meant to lead us closer to God and the delight we find when we allow Him to prune, prepare, and position ourselves to become the best we can be. When pain and striving become our battle cry, it is hard to see through the mess and believe God created us for fruitfulness. But, "Jesus is our staying power in all our going."

"You have been intentionally planted ... and when you're in Christ, He is the true Vine, whether you realize it or not." I highly recommend this book for all who desire to dive deeper into a relationship with God and live a life of abundance in Christ.

Beth Moore's latest book, Chasing Vines, is outstanding! Her books and Bible studies never disappoint. Her delightful writing style that we love so much comes through loud and strong in this new book which shows us from Scripture how life's delights, as well as life's trials, all matter to God. He uses all of it to help us flourish and more than that, He teaches us how to be fruitful. Nothing is wasted. As we look with Beth through the lens of Christ's transforming teaching on the vine and branches in John 15, she gives us a panoramic view of biblical teachings on the vine, vineyards, vine dressing, and fruitfulness. One of best aspects of a Beth Moore Bible study, as well as this book, is that she takes the reader on a journey all over the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and we are able to discover why fruitfulness is so important to God. We learn, along with life lessons from Beth's own story, how He can use anything that happens to us for His glory and for our flourishing. As Beth states in her closing words, "Then He'll put His arm around you. "There was never a moment I wasn't with you. I was singing over you the whole time." That's the curious thing about chasing vines. Somewhere along the way, we discover that the Vinedresser has been chasing us all along. And he makes everything matter."

I remember the depth of scripture in the Psalms of Ascent study I completed years ago. Once again, Beth Moore has taken great care and time to research the roots of the Old Testament and has woven it together with the words of Jesus in John 15. This book is scripture rich while continually pointing you back to the source of life. We are encouraged to return to our roots and she points us back to Jesus over and over. Each chapter brought me a new chance to examine my fruit and to draw life and strength from Jesus. This book is great alone or with a group!

Beth Moore has been a long time mentor, even though I have never met her in person, I know I am going to learn a lot from her. When I heard about this book and the premise, I knew I had to read. Boy was I not disappointed! Beth takes us on a journey that reminds us how much we matter to God. His care for us is so pure, detailed and unconditional. I love the parallel between vineyards and how purposefully God has planted us. Nothing is by chance or coincidence. Everything is with careful attention to detail. Beth has a way of expressing this amazing truth through her gift of writing and love for the Bible.

This is a must read for sure!

What a blessing! It started out good, and it got stronger chapter by chapter all the way through to a glorious ending! Well researched, both by way of vines and the Bible. Beautiful, encouraging, challenging, and hopeful!
