Series: Life Principles Study
The Life Principles Study Guides are perfect companions to Dr. Stanley's Life Principles Bible or for use on their own. They are a unique approach to Bible study, incorporating biblical truth, personal insights, emotional responses, and a call to action. Whether you use a study in a group or as an individual, it will help you get in touch with the Bible, God, and yourself.
Dr. Charles Stanley is the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, where he has served for more than 40 years. He is a New York Times bestselling author who has written more than 60 books, including the bestselling devotional Every Day in His Presence. Dr. Stanley is the founder of In Touch Ministries. The In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley program is transmitted throughout the world on more than 1,200 radio outlets and 130 television stations/networks, and in language projects in more than 50 languages. The award-winning In Touch devotional magazine is printed in four languages with more than 12 million copies each year. Dr. Stanleys goal is best represented by Acts 20:24: "Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesusthe work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love." This is because, as he says, "It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes peoples lives."
Lonni5 Stars Out Of 5Relying on the Holy SpiritFebruary 1, 2016LonniQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is an excellent study on getting to know and understand the Holy Spirit working in and through our lives. Our class gained much understanding about the Holy Spirit, and enjoyed the learning experience.

We did not want to get bogged down in any controversy regarding the Gifts of the Holy Spirit but wanted to know and understand Him better.
Pastor Stanley has penned a guide well suited to our needs. Our group's biggest problem is finishing a lesson in one session. Study questions and text are thought and discussion provoking and informative.
I recommend Relying on the Holy Spirit to any one with the same goals.
GeorgeCFleming Island, FLAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Practical approach, Bible-based studyJune 12, 2012GeorgeCFleming Island, FLAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is the second occasion I've used this study guide in a small group setting - once for an ecumenical group (from Catholics to Pentecostals) of retired military officers, then again for a "mainline" Protestant adult Sunday school group. We are in our fifth week of study and are still in chapter two of the study guide, although you can certainly move along more rapidly if you'd like. A very rewarding study on what can be an enigmatic theological topic for many. Despite what may appear to be an abstract subject, the author makes it practical and Bible-based, which both of my groups have appreciated. Like so many small group studies, you'll get out of it what you put into it. Come with an open mind, and you will be rewarded with an enriched understanding of an equally important member of the Trinity. Shouldn't we fully understand that which indwells us as believers?

Beverly Turner5 Stars Out Of 5January 10, 2009Beverly TurnerEasy to read book on the Holy Spirit. I like how Mr. Stanley included study questions at the end of the chapters. It is a great way to reflect on what you just read and to make sure the information is sinking in. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking more information on the Holy Spirit.
