Did you ever ask, "What is the meaning of life?"
Find out what Scripture has to say about the answer to this question as you develop a strategic life plan that is centered on God's purpose and vision for your life. Learn to see your entire life and all the everyday things that you do as divine assignments given to you by God Himself. You may change your perspective on life and gain a whole new passion for living.
"To begin this process we must understand our origin. Where do we come from? Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? What (or who) defines our purpose? These are the most fundamental questions for a business to answer before creating a business plan, and they are the most fundamental, foundational knowledge that an individual must acquire and define before any meaningful plan for life can be developed." "The intent of this book is to be a guide to a stronger understanding of God's purpose for you, and to apply this understanding to the defining of values and a vision for your life. In later chapters you will see how applying the foundation of purpose, values and vision through ALL of the missions in your life with a clear strategy that maintains focus on your original purpose, will help reveal God's purpose for your life."
"When asked to define their purpose in life people often state that they were meant to be an engineer, or accountant, or doctor, or clergymen, or parent, or whatever. Someone may be called to one of these specific missions, but a mission in life is different from life's purpose. ... A mission is a life role, or assignment... Purpose is a fundamental meaning, or reason for being..."

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a forward thinking kind of person with a strong desire to understand what God wants us to be, and to submit to His calling. I also get great joy out of mentoring and guiding others in this process as well. Few things excite me as much as helping someone to become passionate about being all that God created them to be.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation behind this project was twofold. First, I wanted to provide a study of God's original purpose for mankind and how that applies to us on an individual basis. And second, I wanted a way to communicate to those who might be searching or have questions regarding faith what it means to have a relationship with God.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Simple - a better understanding of the real meaning of life. I want people to grow closer to God by understanding that He created us in His own image and likeness for relationship with Himself. As is explained in the book, this means we are intended to represent God, to resemble His character, and to live in relationship with Him. Planning out our paths in life is important, but more important is that we keep our original purpose in mind as we make our plans and balance the various assignments that God will give to us. Only then can we be good stewards of the time that God has given us.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Working on this project personally impacted me by helping me develop a closer relationship with my Creator and Savior. I started wanting to write a text to help people find God's will for their lives, and in the process God revealed to me that His will isn't hidden at all. Instead, He created us with purpose that He clearly defined right from the beginning (resemble, represent, and relationship) and wants us to live out that purpose in all that we do. If we do this, and constantly look for Him at work all around us, we will be in His will.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My influences and sources of inspiration for this project began with the Sunday morning Bible Study that I taught. My questions and discussions in this class were centered around the topic of knowing and understanding God's will and my studies in this area where originally intended to provided lessons for the Bible Study. Those lessons later grew into what is now this book. Several strong authors were also inspirations for various components of the project. These have been quoted within the text where applicable, and I strongly encourage readers to also read the works of these authors to dig deeper into specific concepts and areas of application.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: The book is written so that it can be read individually, or in a group study situation. Most of the scripture passages referenced are written out in the text to make studying the concept - centered on scripture - easier. The idea is help you grow closer to God and His word is the way to do that. I encourage readers to challenge my ideas and focus their thoughts and scripture. A website, CenturionVision.com, has been launched to share more information. It is in its infancy right now, but over time I hope to build additional resources and reference material to help us all focus our lives on God's purpose for us. I'm also available for speaking engagements, seminars and answering questions about how to study through this material individually or as a group study. A study guide is currently being written to help small groups dive deep into the material and gain a stronger understanding of God's purpose for their lives.
