Numma Tucson5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderfully AccessibleAugust 17, 2016Numma TucsonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This translation is the work of over 100 translators, 77 groups of readers, multiple Bible scholars and educators, and a host of editors - all bent on the common goal of creating a translation that people will find accessible, readable, and accurate. Kudos to them! This work preserves the essence of Scripture and makes it easier to understand without making it so colloquial that it feels less holy. Well done!
Gayle G4 Stars Out Of 5LikedJune 3, 2016Gayle GQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I like this version and the commentary. The print is small but readable. For this size font it would be better if it was darker. The commentary is readable. Mine is the hard back and the quality is excellent. The price was a little more than many of the other Bibles I've ordered. Overall I am satisfied.

Quality is acceptable...but it doesn't measure up to other study Bibles.I am thinking of returning it for something else. Does have nice large printing. I like the additions and sermon notes...etc. Words of Christ need to be in red.
Beth SnyderLightstreet, PAAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Very nice gift BibleApril 27, 2015Beth SnyderLightstreet, PAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4As United Methodists, we decided to gift this Bible to each of our confirmands and their mentors. It is a very nice, study Bible. The CEB version is easy to read and understand. While the study notes are not in-depth nor comprehensive, they give insight to John Wesley's thoughts and disciplines.
Norris5 Stars Out Of 5Reads extremely wellMarch 2, 2015NorrisTo be sure, some of the translation doesn't have the flow that one would be used to. The term "Human One" as a name for Christ is one example. The explanation of why it's translated that way instead of "Son of Man" becomes logical and clearer. When we're used to one thing and it changes, the thing not to like is change itself. The KJV with its thees and thous reflected the way people spoke in that day. The classical sacred music we sing is fixated in our minds, regardless how accurate the translation. The CEB is easy to read and understand and, in comparison with other translations, is an excellent addition to one's library.
