The ink is dark and easy to read. I love this Bible and the translation. I order three Good News Translation Bibles and I happy with my order. The Bible is NOT cheap looking.

The paper seems to be newsprint. The drawings are here, crammed in with the text, and minimized so as not to use too much ink, it seems.... what an awful Bible. I love this translation and I hate to see that it has come to this.
