▼▲The motto of this book is found in Matthew 7:7-8: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. The Case for Faith for Kids helps the reader understand that God wants Christians to seek truth and look for answers.
Strobel doesnt skimp on content just because hes writing to a younger audience. He uses research and interviews with experts to answer skeptics questions. The theology is simplified, and the questions, especially about suffering, arent as deeply explored as they are in his book for adults. That said, Strobel resists the temptation to give kids a quick, easy answer that explains everything.
Illustrations, interesting analogies, and suggestions for activities add to the kid-friendliness of the book. At times, the humor can be a bit corny, but even the silliest examples dont seem to be talking down to kids or making light of the tough issues. In fact, the entire book recognizes that kids have hard questions too, and they deserve answers that they can understand. This is great book for kids who want to know why they believe what they believe. Amy Green, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
