Seminary president Jeff Iorg looks back at the New Testament church in Antioch to find a biblical model of what healthy churches should look like today. Advising a principled approach in the context of this comparison, he shares methods for measuring church health that are based on hard data as well as discernable spiritual realities. Key areas of discussion include a church’s need to emphasize the empowering of the Holy Spirit, advancing the gospel, changing lives, maintaining doctrinal integrity, resolving conflicts, strong leadership, and sacrificial living.
Jeff Iorg is president and chairman of the faculty at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds degrees from Hardin-Simmons University, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Iorg and his wife Ann have three children and live in Mill Valley, California.

If you desire an exegetical study on the Church at Antioch I recommend Eckhard Schnabel's commentary on Acts in the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary series available here at CBD. The Case For Antioch excels at meeting its intended purpose. If you're looking for teaching to motivate and inspire your Church for transformation this is the book for you. If you're looking for practical ideas to inspire your Church this is the book for you. I highly recommend this book to fellow Senior Pastor's to invest their time and efforts into.

Desiree Driver5 Stars Out Of 5Very worth reading!May 6, 2011Desiree DriverI had the privilege to attend a seminar with the author. It is utterly fabulous when an intellectual compiles an in-depth study and delivers it to the layman! God's word gives us all we need and this study reiterates this point and helps decipher it. So much meat to chew on! I've been sharing with everyone and I can't wait until the book comes out.
