At age twenty-six, Caroline Frankston is certain life is passing her by in the town of Barton Creek. Matthew Haynes has made no indication of his feelings for her, so she decides the time has come for her to move away from her family and friends for a fresh start. Once in Oklahoma City, Caroline is fascinated by the many opportunities there and begins moving on with her life. Meanwhile, Matt realizes his true feelings for Caroline and plans to tell her on her next trip home. When Carolines train has an accident and she goes missing, Matt sets out in search of her, wondering if any chance of spending his life with Caroline has disappeared.
Martha Rogers is a former schoolteacher and English instructor whose first book in the Winds Across the Prairie series, Becoming Lucy, became an immediate best seller. Morning for Dove (May 2010) is the second book in this series, with Finding Becky (book 3) releasing Fall 2010. Rogers lives with her husband in Houston, Texas.

I finished it in a day. I had to keep reading to find out if Matt and Caroline would ever figure out their love for each other. It was a very touching love story.

Caroline Frankston, the daughter of the Mayor of Barton Creek, is deeply in love with Matt Haynes. Mrs. Frankston insists that Caroline go to college to keep her from Matt. Matt interprets this as an act of rejection by Caroline. Upon completion of her college degree Caroline returns to Barton Creek hoping Matt will communicate his love for her. When this doesn't happen she makes choice to go to Oklahoma City to find employment and to become independent. Again Matt looks at this as rejection by Caroline.
Miscommunication and the lack of communication drive Caroline and Matt further apart even though they both feel a deep love for the other. Martha Rogers involves her reader in the ongoing attempts of Matt and Caroline to communicate these feelings.
Stubbornness and misunderstanding play a part in the characters of many of the characters introduced in the series earlier. A strong Christian message of reconciliation and forgiveness moves the plot along in a very positive way. Christian core values and Christian character are a natural part of the characters Martha Rogers has created.
Rogers writing is creative, imaginative and engaging. "Caroline's Choice" and the entire series of "Winds Across the Prairie" are especially suited to church lending libraries and will be a welcome discovery for Christian romance readers.
Strang Communications provided me a review copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
Janna RyanNorth Platte, NEAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Delightful!January 28, 2011Janna RyanNorth Platte, NEAge: 35-44Gender: femaleI am really enjoying Martha Roger's series. Set in Oklahoma before it becomes a state this series is a journey watching the different lives weave together in the books (Lucy, Dove, Becky and now Caroline). Caroline has grown tired of waiting for Matt to finally propose so she wants to move off to Oklahoma City and start fresh. Starting fresh may not be all it's cracked up to be as she starts realizing. In the meantime Matt starts realizing that something is missing with Caroline gone. Will something happen to bring them together or is it time for a new start for everyone. Martha will keep you wondering and enjoying every moment along the way.

willing to wait for Matt to propose, so she makes choices
that take her to Oklahoma City. When she realizes that
this is not the life she really wants and puts God back in
the center of her life, she see life differently.
