He loves dogs and loved the way the story was from the dog's point of view. I am buying this again to read aloud to a new crop of blessings. I honestly can't remember if there were unwholesome words, but as I will be reading this aloud, I will just adjust real time. This makes a great geography and unit study when used along with The Trail Guide to U.S. Geography.

The good part about the book was that it taught you a lot of facts about the journey of Lewis and Clark that average people wouldn't know. Over all I would recommend this to a person trying to learn about the adventure of Lewis and Clark but not to a person trying to read a good and suspenseful story.
Penny1 Stars Out Of 5July 4, 2003PennyI was very disappointed in this book! My Husband and I read aloud to our three young children and while reading this book, parts had to be omitted because of curse words or because of the way the book gave all the glory to there falls gods the "wyakin." This IS NOT A CHRISTIAN BOOK, a educational book, or even a good book.
