Calvert Learning's elementary curriculum helps to develop children's natural curiosity and encourages kids to dive into favorite subject areas not because they have to, but because they're passionate about learning!
The Calvert Science Grade 2 curriculum is comprised of a teacher's guide and ten student workbooks. Each full-color student workbook features objectives, vocabulary words, and fun activities for each lesson. Workbooks feature 3-5 sections, self-test sections, and a final unit test. The teacher's guides include a list of materials needed, additional learning activities, alternative tests, and answer keys.
This program covers living and non-living beings, plants, animals, people, pet and plant care, the five sense, physical properties, neighborhoods, changes in the world (such as seasons and landscapes) and looking at the world (including how to care for objects, caring for ourselves and our environment, and living things that need care).
