The Calvert Math Grade 1 curriculum is comprised of two teacher's guides and ten student workbooks. Each full-color student workbook features a basic worksheet instruction followed by the exercises; lesson instruction comes from the teacher. Workbooks feature 3-5 sections, self-test sections, and a final unit test. The teacher's guides include reduced-size student pages with the correct answers overlaid in addition to a list of materials needed, the main concepts taught, the teacher goal, and primary lesson instruction.
This program offers a gentle introduction to math with units that cover number order, addition & subtraction, shapes, fractions, time, money, measurement, estimation, subtraction to 18, number words to 99, and more.
