Excellent; thought provoking; loved some of his "loose translations"....ie: the thief on the cross,"Any chance You could put in a good word for me?" This book will speak to everyone and makes us realize, again, the sacrifice He made for us.I have already recommended this book to friends. Max Lucado has done it again! I will read this book again and again.
Max Lucada brought the death and reserection alive in our living room. These 40 devotional style readings are written so that the whole family, from the very youngest to the oldest, can understand what Jesus sacrificed for our salvation. The other characters in the book are brought to life and portrayed so vividly you realize that so many times you have acted in the same manner toward Christ by questioning, running away, denying him out of fear, and with Mary, not recognizing him as we search for Him through our tears and anguish. Reading it as a family, we found that it evoked discussion and thoughtful meditation every day. We were sad when it came to an end
