Most agree that the universal cry
of every human heart is Love.
What if that hunger has its origin in our Creator? What if that need has been programmed into our spiritual DNA?
What if God is the Love we yearn for? What if a relationship with Him is the key to our deep-seated longing? What if intimacy with Him is a clue to our passionate desires?
What if we are not only loved, but treasured? Would such knowledge make a difference?
Callie, David and Jesse encounter those questions in their personal searches for love and intimacy. Will the culture of their day, the cries of their own flesh and the frustrations of living in a less than perfect world blind them to the treasures hidden in surprising places.
Or will they discover the truth of Solomon 6:3? I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine.
Though each journey is different, ultimately they individually face the same choice. And their responses make all the difference.

Sarah5 Stars Out Of 5Living LovedApril 9, 2015SarahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've read JB Price's book, Callie's Treasures, 3 times and it is about time for the 4th. The characters are true-to-life: they make the same mistakes we all do, have the same sorrows, and the same joys. They make me want to shake them sometimes and say, "Wake up. Look at what is happening. What are you thinking!" This book is so well written and captured my imagination that 3 hours past my bedtime I finally realized the time and had to pry the book out of my hands. It is a story of how much God loves us and how we can learn to live loved by Him and others. Reading this is time well spent. I have given away several copies.

Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up in the hills of east Tennessee in a culture rich in storytelling. Whether I was in a public school or a home school setting or mentoring women in crisis, stories were often my means of teaching. Writing a book was never a consideration.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wrote this story to help ladies attending a fall retreat in 2013 better understand the depth of God's love and His desire for intimacy. Those who heard it insisted I put it in book form so they could share with others. I am not a trained or professional writer. I am a storytelling who self-published at the request of others.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My purpose and prayer is that ladies gain a fresh insight into the power of God's love to change lives.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Being an untrained writer and ignorant of the publishing business made this entire project a stretching and humbling experience. I'm aware that the book is the work of an amateur, but the story seems to overshadow my limitations and touch hearts. This is definitely one of those cases where God chose the foolish and under qualified. I've been obedient. The outcome is His.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Influences? My dad, a beloved story teller. My mom, a lover of books, especially the Bible. Inspiration? People relate to stories, because everyone has one. Favorite authors? Watchman Nee, Paul Billheimer, Max Lucado, Francis Frangipane, Francine Rivers, Tracie Peterson, Jane Austen, Catherine Marshall, Kristen Heitzmann, Ted Dekker and many others
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Jake and Josie's Discovery, the sequel to Callie's Treasures, was released April 27, 2015. Hopefully my writing skills are improving. I have put another retreat story into book form.
