While ministering to those in China and around the world gives us a name and a reputation, helping those close to us gives us a better place to live in. I loved the stories even thou the first one about Gladys and Haydn had me confused on time frame (Christmas and Easterseend seemed to happen in a span of few weeks) and few moments that were over the roof ( i would die of emberasement if after 2 meetings my dad asked a guy of his intentions- it rediculous); i really enjoyd the other stories. Annie managed not only to dress an army in mittens and socks but also to tame a Bear and bring a piece of home to all soldiers. Birdie and Ned were my favorite. Her fight for independance and his fight for her heart helped not just to save soiled girls from the saloon but also to bring community together to believe in second chances and be less judgemental and more helpful. Ruth and Beau made me laugh and throw panches in the air at the same time. Such stubborn-stubborn pair. Beau was suppose to be the bear of this book.
What really impressed me in this book and i commend Darlene Franklin for it, is the real life example of verse Romans 8:28. Readers and Authors know that if we love our Lord enough to step out of our comfort zone for His children, He will bring blessings to us even if things seem to go the wrong way at the begining..

This is the story of four friends who each take on a "project" to help a person in need. The book tells the short story of each of them as they do their good deeds.
What I liked: The stories where interesting and I liked all the characters. I also liked how all the stories where tied together and each story followed the other so it felt more like one book then four short stories.
What I did not like: Being short stories I know that the development of each of the separate stories is not going to be as in depth as a full length novel but I felt the romance of each of the stories could have been better. The couples would know each other a very short time and it just felt like they needed just a little more time to make it feel believable.
Over all this was a good addition to the Romancing America line and I really liked how all the stories tied together and the unique plot of each individual story. I just wish the romance could have had a little more development and not felt so rushed.

Four women in a sewing circle decide to bless those in need. Each woman finds a different project (person or family) to help. The stories were easy to read and well written. While all were a little predictable, that was not a bad thing. I did enjoy this book and it was fun to have all four stories continue from one to the other. All of the stories did a good job of showing God's love and provision for everyone. All of the women find that blessing others ends up blessing them as well and brings love into their lives. I found these stories to be uplifting. I received a copy of this book from Barbour Publishing in exchange for my honest review.
