this is my first purchase from this series, but will certainly NOT be my last. the poetic format makes it easy for kids to read and remember the information. while certain aspects of the subjects life were omitted (i.e. a contorversial relationship with a married woman, details of abuse, war experiences), the content is detailed, accurate and appropriate for the recommended age group. especially when coupled with the Christian Heroes Then and Now book, the child and parent/teacher can get a complete biography of the subject that can be used for many learning activities on different levels. i am excited to have found this collection and look forward to obtaining further titles.
