Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a retired nurse and mother, and grandmother. I started writing when I was five or six years old, perhaps even four years of age.

What was your motivation behind this project?  Someone close to me had lost her best friend.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Comfort and healing, regardless of the age of the reader, death is so difficult and personal for everyone. My hope is that through this book it can bring about healing through the message of God's love and presence with us during our journey through grief.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I wrote the book to help others, at the time it was being published my own cousin who was more of a sister to me our whole life as children and as adults was dying from mesothelioma. It was her who convinced me this book needed to be published with the hope she would get to see it. She unfortunately did not survive to see it in print.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Old Turtle, I'll Love You Forever and Tear Soup.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Just that with this book Butterfly Dreams, it was written with such love and compassion to help children from 4 to a 104. While in a children's format, the message is for everyone experiencing loss. Loss is a journey we all will face or have faced.
