Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a senior citizen who has had a life-time of helping teens go through the crucial teen years when they must decide what would or should they do after high school. #12 is currently under our roof now.
What was your motivation behind this project? So many times a young person endures crices within a family or become in the foster care system and must decide what they will do after high school. Some young people do learn early that they must trust God for direction, guidance and help during those teen years when there is loss of a parent or other crisis that would affect their decision making for the future.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope folks will realize that most young people do want some sense of direction and hardship can be an aid to becoming responsible and dependable.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? This project (six in the series) brought to my often "never think about" mind, my roots in farm life and how the work on the farm impacted my need to teach what responsibility or dependability were great assets for all of us... no matter the age.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Who are my influences... my greates source of influence is the Bible and a book that was copy righted in 1910 Ideals and Aspirations-by Grenville Kleisser. I enjoy Christian Fiction by many authors. I try to read every book that goes into my church library as the librarian
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: For what its worth.... I'm one of seven children. I attended Tenniessee Temple and Southeast Missouri Universities. Currently my church pianist and Assist. Sunday School Director. I've been married 56 years to an Ophthalmologist. We have two children born to our marriage and two adopted children, three foster that came back when they turned eighteen, ten grandchildren... three of which we became involved with when they were teens and along the way, we had two girls that needed a place to stay when they went to the local university.
